so was the girl who was with them a guest when the creepy night hill people attacked??? can't she just wreck them all??
Yes but the guests go there to be immersed in this world and "get a glimpse of who you could be." I'm sure they get caught up in the moment a lot and natural fears take over. Guests probably just can't call a timeout or something, you know?
i guess so. so hosts can't use knives or hit guests at all? what about collateral damage? like if a host shoots another hosts horse and it falls on a guest? or whenever there is an explosion? so many questions! or should i say west-ions???
Well they clearly can get shot like William did last night, and his friend further alludes to it by saying it wouldn't exactly be fair if they couldn't shoot back. I'm sure it's like a small pellet or something, but he did have that bruise so a small amount of damage is at least done. As far as getting hit, didn't a guest get shoved a couple times last night by a host? I'm sure we're gonna explore their programmed limits soon cause I think they're about to become blurred/crossed.
I know Teddy's programming basically destines him to die constantly, but did his bullets not work on the night marauder people? He did the badass fanning revolver spin, and it didn't seem like a single guy got hit or even reacted.
he said that pain doesn't stop them earlier i think that if a guest gets killed they will make a much bigger deal out of it
Yeah Teddy doing his 360 degrees revolver spin was badass. Very cool. Also, why did the straggler all of a sudden decide to kill himself after he had already been physical with the employees?
Theory I read on Reddit and kinda liked what is Arnold is alive in the park still and gathering androids who are slowly achieving awareness. The straggler was caught and was programmed to self-destruct.
I absolutely believe Arnold is still alive, too. Arnold being The Man In Black may be too obvious, but it was a connection I made nonetheless. Programmed to self-destruct so they could not run tests/diagnostics on the head to figure out what went wrong? That makes sense. And I'm also very certain that Arnold has been trying to sabotage Westworld since its onset. Another theory, The Man In Black is Arnold's son. The reason he can seemingly do whatever he wants? Also, his quote about "you can say I was born here".
Was there any actual proof that Arnold even existed? To me it seemed like Ford just made up that story to cover up his own interest in the hosts' consciousness.
is this show good? i feel like it is more intriguing than objectively decent. why is narrative dude doing the absolute most while everyone else is giving very reserved performances?
Crazy episode. Maybe this is too out there, but are those night people taken from another world? Ala the Medieval World from the original movie? They did not look ol-timey Western at all.
Yeah, I didn't realize what was going on in that scene at first. There is definitely a reason why we didn't physically see Arnold. I feel like that's going to be part of the twist at some point.
It's entertaining and the inherent absurdity of the plot lends itself to being more likable than a lot of the more recent "prestige" dramas on HBO that choke on their own self-seriousness. I'm enjoying it for what it is, I don't think it's very predictable which is good.
