"Weird Al" Yankovic Band

Any big fans? My first album was Straight Outta Lynwood, which is still one of my favorites.
How has the man stayed so consistent over the years? His newest, Mandatory Fun, had some incredible originals on it. "Mission Statement," especially.

Bad Hair Day was my jam in the sixth grade

 

The food album was my first cd ever!

 

Bad Hair Day still rules, but I think some of the songs he chose to parody have not held up as well as others he has chosen in the past. But the Alternative Polka does a good job of covering that ground.

 

he's the best, it's amazing how technically skilled he is in addition to being very funny

 

It's also remarkable how funny he can be while being squeaky clean

 

Both accurate! Dude is an amazing songwriter and yeah, he was my first concert, at age 12.

 

Let's not forget he makes hilarious videos as well!

I love the Rocky Road video, with that lady biting on his ankles. Lol

The video for Fat is pretty funny as well.

 

Still, one of the few men that earn my undivided 12 minutes of attention anytime "Albuquerque" comes on. The "Bohemian Rhapsody" of parody songs.

He played Albuquerque at the show I went to, except that around the 9 minute mark he said "Do you ever get halfway through a story and then forget where you were? Oh well, we'll just start over." Cue drum roll and they played the whole song again.

The video came out mere months after my parents took me and my sister to Lancaster, PA on vacation. Suffice to say, it was entirely spot-on in terms of outsiders' perception of the Amish community.
