It really feels nice to be excited about a new Weezer song rather than nervous

 

yeah, it's a good feeling. excited to see what they've come up with

 

I really enjoyed EWBAITE and loved The White Album. Can Weezer really hit 3/3 in 2017? Man, I hope so. (Might just be a one off opposed to an album I guess)

Didn't Rivers say he was starting to work on the Black Album basically as soon as the White Album came out? Wouldn't be surprised if we got it this year if so. He said it was gonna be darker which I would love if it's anything like Pinkerton

 

"Feels Like Summer" doesn't sound too dark though

 

Perhaps it takes a sudden, dark turn at the end!

 

If Black Album is coming, then Feels Like Summer is probably a one-off summer single.
If this is part of an upcoming album, that album wont be Black Album

I'm not even opposed to Weezer making a pop album like this but that song isn't even a good pop song

 

I'm taking all this with a grain of salt. I remember this thread HATING Thank God For Girls when that came out. I don't need all this negativity in my life.

Edit: Okay, I listened to the song.. its not very good...

Wow I'm honestly shocked they went this route after how well received the last two records were (and how they obviously know the backlash that follows every time they do something even remotely electronic).

If anything, I respect them more for making whatever the hell they wanna make. I personally dig a handful of songs off "Raditude," and this sounds like a fun little pop song to me.

Also I've kinda come to the realization that White might be my favorite Weezer album ever.. crazy they did that in 2016
