has anyone else heard this? it's pretty damn wild. i can't stop listening to it. "I got tired of waiting for Weezer to release another good album so I made one myself: Zerwee aka The White Album Deluxe DELUXE Edition aka Greta Van Weezer. This EP was actually really fun to make and I think it turned out really well, it’s one of my new favorites. Enjoy and have fun with this one, sending summer vibes your way."
No idea! This is my first time ever hearing him. Was a suggested video on YouTube. Couple of his other EPs are pretty solid too. Had a real Jeff rosenstock vibe. Dude rules.
Apparently that's EWBAITE era from reading comments? *switches this song on to the album for Back To The Shack*
think they started it back then but only finished it recently, to the best of my knowledge I like it but it's nowhere near the same league as "Everybody Needs Salvation"
Yes, as soon as that got released to the Fanclub, and I got my download link, I fangirled so much hearing The Smashing Pumpkins referenced. Still not over it.
Listened to Hurley and White album yesterday. Good albums. Good times. Do You Wanna To Get High? is probably my favorite off white.
What's the consensus on Hurley? Saw it got dragged by some critics but Ruling Me is probably one of the best songs they've ever written.
I am here for the Hurley love. The highs are very high (Ruling Me, Trainwrecks, Unspoken) but the lows are very low (Where’s My Sex?, Memories lyrics).
It’s my second least favourite. The lo-fi production really bugs me, I find some melodies are pretty grating (Where’s My Sex, Unspoken, Run Away), and there are emotional swings don’t land for me (Unspoken, Time Flies, Brave New World). That being said I still like the album! I love Ruling Me, Trainwrecks, and Smart Girls — Memories and Hang On are great jams too. Where’s My Sex is one of the few cases where I fall in line with the common fan consensus though, the bulk of that song is rough and the bridge is even rougher
I know a lot of people feel that way, I’m bummed I don’t :( Definitely a good song, love the lyrics, the climax just doesn’t hit me the way I want it to. I think a change in the vocal melody or tempo might do it, the full band coming in over the same chorus that’s been sung just doesn’t make me feel it!
Can you imagine acting like you like Weezer as a band, but somehow deciding you don't like Unspoken? What a weird hill to die on
