I feel like this is the reason it was probably delayed. Honestly really smart on their part to take advantage and get some viral buzz going before the new record

“Africa” cover is cool and all and I’m glad Weezer is having fun with it. But I really don’t care much beyond that. I guess my current opinion is wake me up when they decide to put out a new record.

 

I'm not even a Weezer fan but I heard Happy Hour the other day and it's really a jam of a song. The chorus has been stuck in my head since.

 

That one really grew on me! You should check out their performance on James Cordan of it (on YouTube). You will probably love it even more so!

Thanks for sharing! I love hearing him talk in depth about these types of things and interests, but especially the setlist from the recent summer tour because of how beloved it was by us all! And his mention of The Smashing Pumpkins got me. (Another one of my favourites).

 

If he was TRULY ride or die he would've been like "hey remember how great it was when every band member got their own song on the Red album" lol

 

Surprised The White Album wasn’t brought up

 

It's great so I think that would just kind of undermine the premise, could've had a more positive ending where they agreed like "that White Album though right?"

This ending was funnier though haha

 

That was way more specific (and accurate) than I expected! I love it.
