I would still put it at third behind Pinkerton and Blue but it's definitely great and their best since Pinkerton.
Definitely the best since Pinkerton and a really great album in its own right. But still nowhere near the untouchable status of Blue and Pink. “Weezer sux without Matt Sharp”
Another vote for easy 3rd best. I can't put it on that top tier with Blue and Pinkerton but it's great.
I prefer Green too but White is a close fourth overall for me. Imagine writing a chorus as good as Summer Elaine and Drunk Dori. On your tenth album. So good.
Green is really fun on a superficial level but it's definitely still at its core the least-bad of their phoned-in records. Maladroit is really great and I love it but I still put it behind Pink, Blue, White, and EWBAITE.
I’ll take this over both Green and Maladroit. But below Pinkerton and Blue. It’s more enjoyable than Green (which is audio equivalent of nothingness) and Maladroit (which has this forced cult status, it’s just ok).
I'd put this as better than Pinkerton but not as good as Blue. I've even warmed on Thank God For Girls in the context of the rest of the album. I love Pinkerton but it's not as immediate (yes I know that's the point)
Green and Maladroit both have incredible highs but some significantly weak tracks. White is far more well-rounded IMO.
I guess I am never going to agree with this thread overall about this album. I think White is solid music, but nowhere close to as amazing as some people seem to think it is
Oh man I still haven’t listened to Pacific Daydream. I should be more eager after loving every song on this so why hasn’t it happened
When the weather is getting nice is a perfect time. Why that album wasn't a summer album is one of the more baffling decisions ever lol
