I never made that realization with them. I'm probably one of the few who still appreciates those types of DVDs and live videos, so I am behind you on this!

 

Anyone remember this from 2004? My freshman year of high school self was sooooo stoked on it.

 

Still have mine. Been meaning to watch it one of these days

 

How have I never seen this before? Gonna try and find a cheap copy on amazon.

 

I think they had a live EP around Maladroit era. I also definitely remember watching a full HD concert from Make Believe but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t a dvd.

 

I remember a concert video on Fuse or Palladia or something back when I was in high school. Not sure if it ever got a physical release but I had it on DVR and watched it a bunch. It was a show they played in Japan.

 

The EP is called The Lion and the Witch. I think maybe it was a Japanese release

Very disappointed in the Black album. Surprised so many seem to like it. Vastly prefer the White Album and Everything Will be Alright

 

now that we're a few years out i think i can say that i like the white album better than pinkerton

 

I like it but also vastly prefer White and EWBAITE, as probably most in here do lol

 

Yea my overall take is that the Balck album is fine. I prefer White, PD and EWBAITE to it by a pretty large margin. Black is just a step above the faceless rock they were putting out in the mid-late 00’s

 

I like Black better than PD, but no where near as much as White or EWBAITE.

 

Black and PD are same level for me, White and EWBAITE the level above

 

EWBAITE and PD are the same for me, which is to say I don't really give a shit about any song off of them.
Black is below that

 

I like PD more than Black. The lyrics on Black are mostly really bad, while PD has some gems like Weekend Woman, Sweet Mary, and Any Friend of Diane's

 

Personally I think High as a Kite and Can't Knock the Hustle are two of the best Weezer songs this decade. That alone gives Black the edge.

But yeah best song this decade is Wind in Our Sail.

 

White belongs in the Blue-Pinkerton god tier IMO. It's so fucking good.

 

It's good for a '10s Weezer record, sure.

 

My top five is probably the same as everyone else's (Blue/Pink, Maladroit, White/EWBAITE), but Pacific Daydream and Make Believe remain personal favorites and honorable mentions for sure

 

nah it's way fucking better than that

 

This album is the opposite of a grower for me :/
