Once again, I kinda don't know about this one, but I can't wait to write about it and come around to most of it in about a week or so

edit: actually, there are parts of this that remind me most of Make Believe, which is a plus for me. Loving "The Prince Who Wanted Everything"

I would personally easily listen to it over Red or Raditude

Like yeah it's their bad period but it's just hilarious the overreactions this band can elicit

I'm not looking forward to this but they did surprise me on White, so we'll see.

 

How’s it compare to white PD and EWBAITE?

 

After one listen “Zombie Bastards”, “High as a Kite”, “Piece of Cake”, “I’m Just Being Honest”, “Byzantine”, and “California Snow” are all solid plus. Don’t care for the others much, though “Too Many Thoughts in any Head” and “The Prince Who Wanted Everything” could be growers.

Basically when Weezer hits the right balance of earnest and weird pop experimentation it works.

 

Might be the worst Weezer album. It’s a no from me, dawg.

Glad to hear (mostly) positive reactions to this. Pretty excited about it but definitely waiting until the official release.

 

Yeah, it's called 'Dusty Gems' so I'm guessing they're old. It's an entire LP so probably quite a few songs. I'd love to get my hands on that.

 

Woof, this is rough. I think I only liked "I'm Just Being Honest."

 

Dusty gems I think was the name of the b-sides CD included with blue album deluxe.

I absolutely love Make Believe.

I don’t have another contribution here. I just feel like it’s important someone speaks on behalf of that record.

 

I think I’m one of those rare ones that likes Hurley more than Make Believe.

 

it's funny because Hurley and Make Believe have terrible lead singles but the deep cuts on them can be very good

 

Hurley is on the whole more enjoyable than Make Believe for sure. And that's saying something because Hurley has Where's My Sex.
