“High as a Kite” is verryyyyyy nice. 70’s classic rock feel to it.

 

Living in LA feels way more like a single than High as a Kite

 

Eh, "Living in LA" is more of that Fitz and the Tantrums shit that isn't really my bag. I'll probably love it in a month.

 

"High As a Kite" definitely feels more White Album. Curious to hear if anything else on the album fares like that

 

And I’ll never listen to “Living in LA” ever again. That’s a bad song. Faceless.

 

High As A Kite is one of the best songs they've done in a while

don't read if you want to go in blind, but the same source who said High as a Kite was coming out today said the end of Cali Snow was a bit extended and it fits more as a closer but the rest was largely unchanged. take with your own helping of salt

 

the whole bridge with Rivers terrifying the kids had me crying laughing and I was just on the floor with Brian's weird fucking swimming motion right after hahah

High as a Kite, Zombie Bastards and California Snow are solid late period Weezer. The other two....not so much.

 

"Hustle" is a great opener

 

High As A Kite is easily the best of the album so far, the rest I can take or leave

these two songs are the best two so far

 

I still just love this litte late-career resurgence they've found over the past five years. They fit the pop/college-rock climate today much better than they did in 2009.

 

It's crazy that a band can put out their 12th album with songs that absolutely crush songs from their 5th-8th albums.

All for this second wind they've gotten.

 

These two posts alone could tempt me into caving and listening later! (It helps I won't be home for another 8 hours).
