Enjoyed Maladroit mostly and halfway through Make Believe so far so good

 

I'm surprised they're still promoting it after the shock value of the surprise album likely taking up majority of the sales/streams. We are 2½ weeks out from the black album, right? Seems strange to me.

 

Wow I can't believe the Black album is almost here. I actually like how we haven't heard too much of it yet. I hated with White/PD that they released 5 singles before the album even dropped.

 

they know that Teal is more marketable and still has the ability to be milked for more clicks

 

I feel like this is the perfect encapsulation of Weezer in that you'd immediately expect it to be a dumb and meme-y video but it's seriously heartfelt and kind of great?

 

Teal Album is still somehow in the top 20 on iTunes

so looks like California Snow is confirmed as the Black Album closer

I actually like California Snow quite a bit but as a closer? really? idk I'm used to these guys knocking it out of the park with closers even on their lesser albums so this is a bummer to me

that tracklist could be in the wrong order tbf

 

Definitely a little bummed if it's really the closer but I love the song so I'm sure I won't mind in the long run

not really, "California Snow" - which came out before any of the Black singles in 2018 - is for some reason showing up more than a year later as the closer for Black, which is a big letdown but eh. here's the song

Not happy about that, was never a fan of California Snow.

 

I like “California Snow”. The band has been so prolific that I don’t mind it getting a proper album release. In a few months/years no one will even care when “California Snow” actually came out.

 

Hmm. I wonder if Piece of Cake is a reworked version of Piece of the Pie.

 

I never went back to it, and am surprised it made the album.

 

Holy shit I totally forgot this ever came out lol

 

Actually it came out in September, a month before Can’t Knock the Hustle, so it’s only been five months (even though it feels like forever)
