A) It was a joke B) They're in their 27th year as a band releasing their 15th studio album. I don't think anyone is expecting them to give us something we haven't heard before. The literal point of this album was to make it sound like music we heard in the 70s & 80s.
I watched Ronald McDonald's review of VW and he said Beginning Of The End sounds like it should be on the Green album Uh what
Over/Under Weezer releases 25 albums by the time they call it a career. If SZNS really happens, that'll be 19 albums in 28 years.
It's so funny to see the band using the promo photo they originally shot for VW. Rivers now looks like a beat poet lol.
Also gonna say over. If they average a record a year before Rivers turns 60 and retires, they'll make it. SZNS would give them a huge jumpstart.
I think over. And despite what he's said, I'm not convinced Rivers will actually allow himself to retire at 60.
The What's With These Homies Talking About Weezer podcast with producer Suzy Shinn is a cool behind the scenes listen on VW.
I am confused about the vinyl - which variant has the 2 bonus tracks? My local shop has the neon pink but it's only the standard tracklisting.
I think 10 more albums is a stretch even with 4 next year. I do anticipate at some point there will be a semi official retirement of the non-Rivers members and I don't think they keep the band name if more than one of them leaves.
