This was solid. Their best since White. Don’t know how much I’ll return to it, but much more fun than the last snooze
Can’t wait for the Szns project so I can once again wade through 80 pages of disagreements over which Weezer song/album is the worst
"This is Such a Pity," "Hold Me," and "Haunt You Every Day" are all GREAT non-singles from Make Believe. "Perfect Situation" is obviously great, and I personally think "Peace" and "The Damage in Your Heart" are very good. Some very genuine moments on that record. Same goes for OK Human and I still can't believe some of the slander it's getting
I agree with all of this other than Hold Me. Not a fan of that one. I love Peace and The Damage In Your Heart.
think I prefer the other thread that's just a bunch of rankings to this deeply silly thread btw this is their worst since Hurley. two songs with any staying power so far
haunt you every day bev hold me perfect sitch rest is buns (and don't get me wrong the above kind of are too)
Finally listened to this in full. It's not bad but not top tier Weezer, middle of the pack for me. End of the Game is still my favorite song even after hearing it all.
tbh I always think the same about people who have like 20 possible albums to stan for and inexplicably chose the one with smart girls on it
Whatever you think of Hurley, this album is at the very least a much stronger version of that kind of semi-plastic pop-rock
Ruling Me, Trainwrecks, and Hold On bump Hurley's rating up a peg or so for me, not to mention yet again my last name.
sorry that was probably a bit angrier than any discussion about goddamn Weezer needs to be lol. bad day I do like "Trainwrecks" and "Time Flies" quite a lot but not much else. VW is bumming me out a bit after I absolutely fell in love with OKH, but it's not bad either. just very middle of the road for me
