I know Sheila's been kicking around for a very long time, but I can't believe it's 2021 and there's a Weezer album with songs like Sheila and Precious Metal Girl. I can't help but think this album is going to quickly become a fan favorite.
Yeah I was worried about this album after “hero” came out but it’s a blast. Was hoping for a little more shredding and guitar wanking but I I’ll take what I can get
Was pretty bored with the first two tracks but the rest of this is really fun Honestly thought Blue Dream was gonna be a straight cover until the verse started The bridge to 1 More Hit was a nice surprise
There are a lot of definitive opinions in here, I truly love that everybody has their own version of what is considered "good" Weezer and "bad" Weezer. I'm just happy to be a fan of a band this prolific at this stage in their career. I liked OK Human, but somehow still feel like I haven't listened to it THAT much. After just one full listen, Van Weezer already feels kind of essential to my summer listening, and I know I am going to come back to this one more.
1 More Hit is such a conundrum for me. My favorite music on the album, but least favorite lyrics. Still love it.
The ending to Blue Dream is absurdly good. That, and Precious Metal Girl are pretty easily my two favorites so far.
Welp I now love every song in this except hero and she needs me. Imagine how good it could be with the bonus track swapped for she needs me and just 1 more banger instead of hero.
Only songs I don't care for are The Beginning of the End and She Needs Me. Rest is A-Okay in my book.
cannot imagine listening to this and not thinking its one of the most fun albums you've heard so far this year
