I don’t think Weezer and pixies are very similar at all.

 

well, they don’t sound very much alike, but they’ve toured together a ton and rivers constantly talked about them as an influence, so it makes a lot of sense to compare

 

“U-Mass” and “Wave of Mutilation” are the best examples.

 

looks like people have getting their vinyl. take with healthy amount of salt but: apparently "I've Thrown it All Away", the song with the Jason Cropper credit is on there as a hidden track and it's being compared to "Only in Dreams"

Holy shit blue dream is partly 'ballad of the briny' from the demos....mixed with some other famous riffs haha

Hmmm not up on either of my go-to sites yet.

 

I probably won't return to this as much as OK Human aside from a few tracks, but Precious Metal Girl is my favorite on first listen.

 

really like "All the Good Ones", tune

"Hero" is a lame opener and "The End of the Game" should have stayed in that slot

 

album version of BOTE feels more like a single edit than the single edit does lol

Easily the second best album they've released this year.

 

after much consideration, I can most certainly agree this is a Weezer album

(seriously "Blue Dream", "One More Hit" and "Precious Metal Girl" are great - doubt I'll ever listen to the rest much at all)
