iTunes now lists Van Weezer’s release date as May 7, 2021. That’s gotta be a placeholder, right?

 

They're definitely targeting a 2020 release of some kind, there's no way they'd delay it a full year.

 

Google Play and Amazon are listing that same 2021 date too...

Imagine if they moved Van Weezer to line up with the tour, but then release OK Human to make up for it

that's what I'm thinking. Crush clearly won't let VW out without the tour to support it, and that new date seems to line up with when the tour would be postponed to. But OK Human doesn't really sound like an album you would do a stadium tour of and is more of a thing for the fans, so it would make sense if they put that out this year

 

A full year is brutal.

 

But yeah, hope we get OK Human in the meantime.

Review "copies" in 2020 are watermarked streams with play limits that self-destruct after a certain time frame.

 

I guess it makes sense that they want their stadium rock album to come out around the time of their stadium tour. But it still comes off as pretty silly.....that'll mean the first single from the album was released 2 years before the tour/album.
