Easily one of my fave songs they've done since Maladroit

 

High as a Kite and Can't Knock the Hustle are the only songs I can recall off the top of my head

 

There was the uhh other single too! I forget it's name, the Pete Wentz video one? Anyway, Byzantine and California Snow I also remember

Well, I tried

 

I think the only song on Black I truly dislike is The Prince Who Wanted Everything. All the other songs I either actually enjoy or just think are meh.

 

Can't Knock The Hustle, Living In LA, High As A Kite are the only ones I actually go back to. Sometimes California Snow cause it is pure batshit.

I actually like "Zombie Bastards" quite a bit

 

I really like all of Black except for Prince, which is for sure in the contention for my studio album bottom 5, and Piece of Cake, which is just alright.

 

Zombie Bastards is alright until he just says blah blah blah at the end of the chorus lol

 

I like both of these songs more than "Too Much in My Head" tbh

 

Omg I forgot about that song.

Byzantine is my black album fav.

 

Pacific Daydream has seriously grown on me since it came out. Probably the best “modern pop Weezer”

 

Same, it's a solid slab of work

 

I like Beach Boys quite a bit

 

Yeah, def prefer Pacific Daydream to The Black Album at this point

 

If they cut the first 3 songs from Pacific Daydream it would make a solid EP.

White album remains my favorite of the past 2 decades

 

Pacific and Black are basically the same, but I'm sure there's a good-ish album that could be made between the two

 

I think PD is much better than Black. More solid throughout. Black is incredibly uneven. “High as a Kite”, “Piece of Cake”, and “I’m Just Being Honest” are the only 3 I really like.

 

counterpoint: keep all of those songs, cut "Happy Hour" and "Get Right", you've got something great

 

“Happy Hour” is one of the best songs on the record. “Get Right”, “La Mancha Screwjob”, and “Beach Boys” have got to go. Replace those 3 with “Piece of Cake”, “High as a Kite” and “I’m Just Being Honest” and that’s a really nice late period Weezer record.

The 4 song run of “Happy Hour”>”Weekend Woman”>”QB Blitz”>”Sweet Mary” is excellent.

 

"Beach Boys" has one of the best choruses on there, "Happy Hour" is fucking dreadful. worst Weezer song this decade
