I love the song and I love how ridiculous the title/cover are. But really, best Weezer song in a while from my perspective.

 

This song gave me a “if they contributed down the path of Maladroit” vibe and I’m ALL. IN.

 

I didn’t expect to like this when they announced the idea a while ago but it actually rules lol

 

It’s definitely got huge Maladroit vibes. Their heaviest crunchiest record so that makes sense.

 

Can’t stop singing the harmony part with “HIT ME” — this brand of Weezer is very much my jam.

This is fucking great, why can’t they always be this good?!

 

To say the riff in this song has heavy VH influence would be redundant, given the album title, but... have you all seen the visualizer Spotify has for this??? LMFAO.

Normally I think rollouts of longer than two months are absurd and unnecessary but in this case they clearly wanted to capitalize on the hype of the tour announcement so it makes sense. Also the record is clearly not going to be held back until May. I'd say it winds up coming out in March.

 

It's also not done.

 

That's the first I'm hearing of that, I was under the impression it and OK Human were at least mostly complete even by the time Black came out. Makes sense though.

 

Reddit is so irritated with the album cover. This is a band that literally put Hurley on their cover. Mimicking a terrible 80's hair metal cover design is almost brilliant in comparison.

 

The way Suzy phrased it, it sounds like it's not done:

The artwork is awful (even if it's supposed to be) but boy does the single rule. I'm hearing more White Album than Maladroit, but I'm here for it (which should surprise no one)

I swore off this band after the Black Album but I caved and this song is tight. This stupid fucking band is going to keep me coming back forever
