Man, it feels like The White Album came out yesterday. Also, the album isn't called The Black Album after all?
Would have been fine with Jake coming back, but he and Butch seem to be trading bands lately, so I'm also fine with this!
I've come to learn that, with Weezer, if they mention anything and disappear for even a few months, they reemerge with a completely different announcement when the time comes. Rivers can't sit on an idea for too long.
He only produced on If You're Wondering, Girl Got Hot, Put Me Back Together, and Let It All Hang Out. Plus, I don't think he's the reason that album was garbage. Haven't liked the singles they put out since the White album, hope the rest is better.
I'd take an album of songs like "If You're Wondering..." I'm guessing it sounds more like The White Album, though, which is about as close as you can get to a Butch Walker-style rock album without having Butch Walker actually produce.
It's cool this isn't The Black Album. If the songs don't fit that idea they shouldn't force it. I'm excited
