Weezer confirmed on Double J that they will release The Black Album on May 25th:

“This other album just kind of materialised,” he said. “I had two folders on my Dropbox: one was ‘The Black Album’, and it didn’t get filled as quickly as this other folder, which I temporarily titled ‘New Folder’. That one filled up with ten songs that were definitely different, but not quite as different as The Black Album. So, we put a name on it – Pacific Daydream – and put that out first.”

    Best to worst:

    Blue
    Pinkerton
    Make Believe
    Pacific Daydream
    White
    Maladroit
    Green
    Everything
    Raditude
    Hurley
    Red

This exercise is rather useless, of course, since everything from 3-9 is in flux depending on my mood and the day. But that's about as definitive as I can be.

I don't dislike any Weezer album though. Some are (sometimes very) flawed, but I appreciate them all.

Really excited for every Weezer release.
It's always different and always a grower but I'd rather have that then a band put out the same thing over and over again.
Good for them for always trying to be creative.

    Also Best to Worst:
    Pinkerton
    Blue
    White
Everything Will Be Alright in the End
    Maladroit
    Green
    Make Believe

Exactly. One thing I love about Weezer is they change their sound while still being Weezer. I can throw any album by them on and enjoy it.

I cannot understand people who rate Make Believe so high. Whole thing is like straight-up Weezer adult contemporary minus a few token tracks. Red and Raditude may have their lows but they at least have some good highs (Pork & Beans, Troublemaker, If You're Wondering, etc.)

Troublemaker is one of the worst weezer songs ever made.

I'll take that goofy song over the "serious" songs such as "Pardon Me" and "Damage In Your Heart".

Whatever, I fuckin' love Troublemaker, haha.

Man, I love the Damage In Your Heart. If we're gonna talk about bad songs on Make Believe, you've got to mention My Best Friend and The Other Way. Ugh.

  22. Part of my love for Make Believe is almost certainly nostalgic, but "Perfect Situation" into "This is Such a Pity" into "Hold Me" is such a strong three-track sequence. And "Haunt Me Everyday" as a closer...come on. The record is far from their worst.

I love The Other Way haha. The bad songs on Make Believe to me are My Best Friend and We Are All On Drugs. The Other Way is vintage Weezer imo. Catchy pop song, simple lyrics, great melody.

Got bored and I've decided to rank singles:

    Buddy Holly
    Say It Ain't So
    Perfect Situation
    Pork & Beans
    Undone
    El Scorcho
    Photograph
    The Good Life
    Dope Nose
    If You're Wondering
    Island In The Sun
    Da Vinci
    Pink Triangle
    Hash Pipe
    Keep Fishin
    Cleopatra
    Greatest Man That Ever Lived
    King of the World
    Beverly Hills
    Feels Like Summer
    Do You Wanna Get High?
    Dreamin'
    Troublemaker
    Thank God For Girls
    I'm Your Daddy
    Back To The Shack
    We Are All On Drugs
    Happy Hour
    This Is Such a Pity
    Hang On
    Memories

I didn't know a lot of these songs were actually singles, but this is what Wikipedia's discography page is telling me.
