L.A. Girlz (Girl We Got a) Good Thing Wind in Our Sail California Kids Are you guys crazy not voting for California kids??
Yeah, that’s a tough one, they are probably my two favorite songs from the album. Had to think about it hard!
Yeah High and California Kids is an absolute toss-up. Possibly the two best songs on the album (although I'll stan for Jacked Up any day of the week). This album is GREAT.
Damn that was tough voting against Endless Bummer and California Kids. This is such a consistent album.
L.A Girlz (no brainer, best late period Weezer song) Endless Bummer Wind in Our Sail Do You Wanna Get High? Those are 8 really good songs. What a tough round. I like thinking of Endless Bummer as a sad sequel to Island in the Sun. Great pair of tracks. This is easily their 3rd best record, just outside of the big 2. Just a song or two I could do without
I feel like Maladroit will forever be my #3 from them, but White sure does put up a fight for that slot.
L.A. Girlz (Girl We Got a) Good Thing (My favourite) Summer Elaine and Drunk Dori California Kids (This is a no contest for me: DYWGH is easily my least favourite off White)
The White Album, Round Three L.A. Girls vs. Do You Wanna Get High? Wind in Our Sail vs. (Girl We Got a) Good Thing
L.A. Girlz Girl we got a good thing 2 of the best Weezer songs since Pinkerton and well, two of the best Weezer songs period
"L.A. Girlz" is a gem, but I feel like "(Girl We Got a) Good Thing" best encapsulates The White Album and low-key deserves the win
Album is just a winner through and through. I love this period from EWBAITE through Pacific Daydream (and hopefully onto the Black Album) so much
I'm drunk right now so I'm about to get blasphemous. Classic Weezer is, well, classic, but I'd say at this point I reach for White Album and Pacific Daydream more often than Blue Album or Pinkerton. Not saying they're better, obviously, but as a fan tthan listens to them weekly, that's just where I'm at.
Same! I REALLY disliked Pacific Daydream when it came out, but I have come around on it in a big way. My favs are Mexican Fender and Weekend Woman. Sweet Mary is also a gem.
There's merit to that. We've had 20 less years to play them to death haha. I love it, but I don't really care if I ever hear The Sweater Song again.
I also had mixed feelings initially (as I did with the White Album tbh) but almost all of it has clicked with time. "Happy Hour" and "QB Blitz" >>>
