White is still my favorite since Maladroit. I even like Back to the Shack; the guitar riff is pretty sick
Been awaiting this album round! (And White; can you guess what my top Weezer albums are?!). Da Vinci (Unlike you, the whistling made me love this one instantly upon first listen! @Aaron Mook) Cleopatra I've Had it Up to Here
Finally back to albums I love! Da Vinci Cleopatra I’ve Had It Up to Here I gotta say though, some of the lyrics on this that felt “honest” at the time feel weird now considering the albums that came after. There’s all this dismissal of pop music stuff but like, that’s obviously what the band still wants to do. I think White ends up being the perfect blend but some of this feels weird to re-visit.
The Futurescope Cuomo Trilogy Cleopatra The British are Coming These were tough, I love all those songs. The final moments in Foolish Father when they chant "EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT IN THE END" is one of my favorite moments on the album, but as a whole I think I like Cleopatra more.
EWBAITE, Round Two Da Vinci vs. Lonely Girl Ain't Got Nobody vs. Eulogy for a Rock Band Cleopatra vs. Back to the Shack The British are Coming (coin toss) vs. Go Away
Lonely Girl Ain't Got Nobody Cleopatra Go Away Would not be upset if Cleopatra takes it. That song bangs.
Lonely Girl (I remember them releasing a snippet of this and instantly loving it). Ain't Got Nobody (Ahhh, was afraid this would happen; my two favourites on the album, but have to go with this!) Back to the Shack (First one to go against Cleopatra?!) Go Away
Lonely Girl was a slow burn for me. Didn’t think much of it at first but liked it more every time I heard it and now it’s maybe my favorite song on the album.
