I saw he hasn’t produced a record since Panic’s last one. Hope he eventually comes back into the fold.
Am I the only one who didn't immediately think new album, but rather that they are actually going to sell Weezer markers?
People in the comments are saying “White & Pinkerton tour” fingers crossed mainly for White honestly (it’s the better album)
I’ve definitely said it before in this thread, but I would love a tour where they focus on playing stuff not off of the first two albums/ the obvious singles. There’s so many gems that haven’t been played in years or just straight up never played once
The "Weezer hasn't been good since the 90's" argument is so tired. If I have to rank their output by decade 90s Weezer > 20s Weezer > 10s Weezer > 00s Weezer 20s vs. 10s can flip based on my mood and, obviously, there is less output in the 20s but it's been pretty top tier.
I really think the streak from EWBAITE to black is awesome Revisited black recently and honestly I think it’s a good album Their worst album is Summer IMO
For some reason I forgot about those being after, absolutely agree. I don’t love Van Weezer as much but it’s still pretty good. Spring is alright Summer is my least favorite out of all of their albums and then I really like Autumn & Winter
Reposting for no reason at all... CLASSIC WEEZER: Pinkerton Blue White Green VERY GOOD WEEZER: Everything Will Be Alright in the End OK Human Make Believe Van Weezer Pacific Daydream Maladroit Autumn MIXED BAG WEEZER: Spring Red Black Winter Summer WYD WEEZER?: Raditude BAD, BORING & BLAND WEEZER: Hurley
I thought Van Weezer was fun but it hasn’t persisted for me. Also kinda bummed it ended up being a classic power pop homage more than a cheesy shredding guitar album top to bottom. Their renaissance for me was EWBAITE and White. The rest is back into the murkiness for me with OK Human being better but just not my favorite sound.
CLASSIC WEEZER: Pinkerton Blue Green Maladroit VERY GOOD WEEZER: Everything Will Be Alright in the End White Van Weezer
I only know the big 90s/00s Weezer singles, but I feel like this is a band I should get into. What should I listen to?
At worst Idk how you don't give Hurley credit for them seeming to get back on track Despite Smart Girls and Where's My Sex, it's solid
