black is closer to their worst record than it is to red, which i agree isn’t very good

 

i think the stinkers on black are worse than the stinkers on red. 'the prince who wanted everything' is bottom 3 studio tracks

 

Pacific Daydream is underrated, imo. the back to back of "Weekend Woman" and "Sweet Mary" is so sugary.

Make Believe and Pacific Daydream are both very fun pop-rock albums

 

There is not a song on Black as bad as "Everybody Get Dangerous" or "Cold Dark World"

 

Everybody Get Dangerous is a fun song.

I love Pacific Daydream. It was actually in my top 5 Weezer albums until OK Human dropped and bumped it out

 

Had a dream that they just accepted who they are and what Rivers wanted vs. what they did best and that we got a comeback album that was just the hooks of Pacific Daydream produced like The White Album and it was like...their best work

 

Accepting who they are and what Rivers wanted got us Raditude.

 

Conveniently ignoring the "what they do best" part lol

 

Rivers wants to be a weird little guy producing C-level 2000s top 40 pop in his home studio. We all need to keep forcing him to not be who he wants to be, for his sake and ours.

 

I think they even referred to White, Pacific Daydream, and this new album as a trilogy of sorts in my dream.

 

Black is not great but i’d take it over Van Weezer and the Sznz EPs any day.

 

Pacific Daydream and Black are good and I will die on this hill

Find black album pretty much unlistenable, I’ve gotten through it at max 1 time

pacific daydream I don’t get the love for other than Mexican fender and weekend woman, which both slap

 

I think Black is horrendous but High as a Kite is a great song.
