I was kinda thinkin its been a while, but they went so hard with the ok human/van Weezer/sznz run Im ok with a break.

Don't love those EPs, but that's a bummer

 

Selfishly, it may push Rivers into making the next one for us and not for himself

 

I wonder if Weezer will ever learn that nobody gives a fuck about their newer music

They should still release like a complete SZNZ digitally with the vinyl bonus tracks. The nerd in me would love to have that as one release in Apple Music.

 

I get that SZNZ wasn’t a popular project, but as somebody whose favorite run of Weezer albums came out from 2014 to 2017, I get almost irrationally frustrated when people say things that suggest they’re washed up now

 

White Album was a stunning return to form and I will always sing that records praises.

 

Rivers could release 3 amazing Weezer albums in six months but he is such an odd little guy that he simply has no interest in doing so or motivation to do so.

I don’t like the SZNZ releases, but it does drive me a little bit nuts that on Apple Music, three of them are listed under “albums” and one is listed under “singles and EPs.”

 

I wasn’t super into SZNS, but to call Weezer washed-up simply isn’t true. Their tour last summer did pretty good and they still have a massive following. Different strokes for different folks

 

Winter is amazing. I hate that since it got released last most people lost interest in SZNZ and didn't listen to it.
I Want a Dog, Basketball and Dark Enough to See the Stars still get played regularly by me.

 

Weezer has a very dedicated fanbase that obviously extends to this site, very silly to say no one cares about their new music lol

SZNZ did lose me but I will always listen to new music from them and usually end up purchasing it. And yeah, Winter is the best one, even if it still doesn't quite cut it for me. I think the formatting of the project in general makes some of the tracks forgettable, unfortunately. Maybe I'll spin the single-LP version of SZNZ I made on Spotify today.

 

Rivers definitely has a quantity over quality issue, but when he hits he hits.

 

OK Human is my favourite Weezer since Pinkerton.
