Smart Girls is so funny, though. Unintentionally so, but still. The fact that there is a version where it’s “hot girls” and then clearly someone either pointed out or Rivers came to his senses that that is/would look shitty, and so he releases the exact same song but with “hot” swapped out for “smart” - that’s so goddamn funny.
Can’t Dance Don’t Ask Me would be the best song on sznz (note: not saying much) if they could have dialed the cringe back like 10%
We Are All on Drugs is medium tier Weezer now with the new depths of their discography. There are FAR worse things. Plus at the very least it’s catchy sing along that most of the audience remembers.
It would be one of the better ones on MB if they recorded it like Sugar Ray recorded it. Idk why Weezer even released their version after that
Just told ChatGPT to write lyrics in the style of Weezer and this was the result. Ain't gonna lie, I think this is better than a good number of actual Weezer songs. --------------------------------------------------------------------- (Verse 1) I'm sitting in my room, feeling kinda blue, Strumming on my guitar, don't know what to do, I'm lost in a world of my own creation, Searching for a melody, a brand-new sensation. (Pre-Chorus) I'm a geeky guy with thick-framed glasses, I'm awkward and shy, but my heart surpasses, All the insecurities, all the doubts and fears, I'll write a song that'll make 'em all shed tears. (Chorus) Oh, oh, oh, I'm just a Weezer wannabe, Singing songs about girls who never notice me, Oh, oh, oh, stuck in a teenage dream, Living life in the key of geek, it seems. (Verse 2) I've got a crush on the girl next door, She's got a smile that I can't ignore, But every time I see her, I stumble and I stutter, I guess I'll never have the nerve to utter. (Bridge) I'll pour my heart into every chord I play, Hoping that one day, she'll hear what I say, Maybe she'll realize the feelings that I hide, In these Weezer-inspired songs I can't deny. (Chorus) Oh, oh, oh, I'm just a Weezer wannabe, Singing songs about girls who never notice me, Oh, oh, oh, stuck in a teenage dream, Living life in the key of geek, it seems. (Bridge) But I won't give up, I'll keep strumming along, Hoping that my melodies will right the wrongs, And maybe one day, my voice will be heard, By the girl next door who'll sing along every word. (Chorus) Oh, oh, oh, I'm just a Weezer wannabe, Singing songs about girls who never notice me, Oh, oh, oh, stuck in a teenage dream, Living life in the key of geek, it seems. (Outro) So here's my anthem for the outcasts and the nerds, For the ones who find solace in Weezer's words, We'll rock out together, embracing our flaws, In the world of music, we'll find our applause.
I can't picture anybody actually tipping a cow, it sounds like a myth, but there was not much else to do around here when he would've been growing up lol
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cow_tipping Per Wikipedia, studies done conclude that cow tipping is physically impossible without anywhere from 4-10 people and even then, a cow can definitely get up if it falls over. It sounds like it's just hyperbole in the end.
I’ve been a Weezer fan for years now, but for a majority of that time I always skipped over O Girlfriend. What a fool I was, one of the bands best
Yeah, so this project was a little too ambitious and the execution wasn't quite there for me (in typical Weezer fashion tbh) but I think my ideal 10-track for this would be: I Want a Dog Records Blue Like Jazz Basketball Tastes Like Pain Get Off on the Pain Cuomoville Should She Stay or Should She Go Francesca Run, Raven, Run No Spring, lol
