Well that, and what I mean is I read during the making of Raditude, one of the members wasn't feeling it, and Rivers was like, it's just one album, and we'll do something else next time, and the member felt better after hearing and digesting that.
The one big issue I have is the track listing is different than the leaked live version, and I definitely prefer how it is on there. Sheraton Commander was the opener and longer too.
Also, the bridge for "Iambic Pentameter" has the same melody as the verse for "Prom Night", one of the bonus import tracks on the White Album
Instrumentally and melodically a lot of this EP really does sound like Blue and Pinkerton but the lyrics are complete nonsense in a way that is somehow different (and more bizarre) than what I’m used to from this band lol.
Wow, I gotta try that. My first impression of Winter is that it’s my favorite one. But I haven’t listened to the others in a bit.
do you ever just sit and think about how there are no other bands like Weezer, what a gift this band is to us
Would be awesome if the tour focused on their newer stuff like OK Human and the best of SZNZ. Thrown in some White and the classics and you have the best Weezer tour of all time.
That would be awesome but they’re gonna go on tour and play half of Blue, Green and Pinkerton, five covers and one song released in the past 15 years.
toying around with it I think this is my SZNZ playlist: 1. Can't Dance Don't Ask Me 2. I Want a Dog 3. A Little Bit of Love 4. Iambic Pentameter 5. Blue Like Jazz 6. Francesca 7. Dark Enough to See the Stars 8. Should She Stay or Should She Go 9. All This Love 10. Run Raven Run (4 from Autumn, 3 from Winter, 2 from Spring and 1 from Summer... feels about right lmao)
I could have hated every song on the first 3 ep's and Winter still would have entirely justified the project
I think this one will be third (behind Summer and Autumn) or fourth for me, but that’s not any kind of diss since I’ve really enjoyed this whole project. Favorite thing they’ve done since Pacific Daydream. Stoked.
So our only two options for Weezer lyrics are so dumb that it ruins an otherwise decent song or sincere meditations on death that make you too pensive to enjoy an otherwise decent song.
