Every time I've tried The Black Album my reaction has ranged from "What the fuck was that?" to "That was fucking bad." I don't think I'm destined to come around on that album.

Don’t care about adjudicating quality, Pacific Daydream is one of my favorite Weezer albums, and it’s soundtracked some really zen times in my life.

It doesn’t make me feel the way the blue album did when i got it in 1996 but i already felt that way then, don’t need to feel that again

 

both are bottom five weezer if we’re just counting full lengths

 

pacific daydream is a great single on an album with otherwise dull songs and black is an album with abysmal singles and kinda cool deep cuts

 

High As A Kite is the best song they've made since White

 

"Happy Hour" is great and I'm tired of pretending it isn't

 

I love that and Weekend Woman. Elite bridge on that one

 

Pacific daydream is great only weak song on there is Beach Boys

 

Imagine not being infatuated with Get Right

 

it simply is not lol

 

pretty clearly their best post-white

 

My top 3 would be Kite, Numbers, Bird

 

La Brea Tarpits erasure in this thread

 

Big van Weezer guy here, most of it is best since white

 

I'm definitely gonna get blasted for this but Pacific Daydream is a top 3 Weezer record for me. It was my go-to running album for spring/summer 2018 and I love basically every song on it

 

It's my least favorite on the record

 

"Aloo Gobi," "Numbers," "La Break Tar Pits" all better than "High as a Kite"

 

this is one of my favorite songs that rivers has sung on in the last few years

 

All great songs tho

Get Right sounds like a 70's pop hit. And I kinda like it for that
