Phew, Records was an aberration. After my first listen I can confidently say it...

SZNZ: Summer fucking rocks.

first two songs: woof. "Blue Like Jazz" is pretty great, it's like what I imagined Van Weezer was gonna sound like when they first mentioned the concept

 

pleased to report that "Cuomoville" rules

as a whole, way better than Spring, I still feel weirdly whelmed by this whole project though

 

Just listened. It does kinda rock but still not vibing with any of the lyrics. Better then spring for me.

 

Pretty good overall, feels pretty on par with Spring at this point, the band kinda cruising along

I’m shocked that each SZN isn’t a different band member’s head.

 

Broadway thing is neat. Wish they did something like that for LA

 

This album is soooo gooooddd! The Black Album should sound like this!!

 

Hooly shit, this blows Spring away for me. While I was listening to Blue Like Jazz I was thinking "damn, this is the one" but then I ended up thinking that for literally every song left on the album. That one, The Opposite of Me, What's the Good, Cuomoville and Thank You are all top-tier late Weezer

 

Yeah this is so much better than Spring. Absolutely love it.

 

BLUE LIKE JAZZ

 

A 20 minute performance each day ? Who’s comin out to that

 

Especially of songs/EPs that 99% of their fanbase doesn't even know/care about

(not talking about us)

 

They're also doing a full, normal Weezer set each day along with the EP.

 

I have to assume they’ll play a bunch of other songs each night too. Maybe theme their set list with the season as well, that would be neat.

 

I fucking love this. Like, this is my favorite thing they’ve done since at least PD and probably since White. Still sort of digesting it but my knee jerk reaction is it sounds like a cross between White and OK Human. Love it.

 

The Opposite Of Me is so good. Whole thing is great, Lawn Chair is weird but overall way better than Spring and I like Spring.

Definitely strong summer Weezer, but without the Van.
