"We Are All on Drugs" (and "Beverly Hills") rule "Smart Girls" and "Brave New World," however, are very bad
A lot of their first singles I find really horrible or mediocre, even those from great albums: Feels Like Summer, Thank God For Girls, Back To The Shack, Memories, Beverly Hills... Also I adore The White Album and always thought it deserved a name referencing California like Pacific Daydream.
Getting the demos and realizing Smart Girls started as Hot Girls is just so, so ridiculous Thank God for Girls is terrible - even if it's supposed to be a parody, it's just a crap song. Controversial opinion, but I find Shack, Bev, and Memories all varying degrees of acceptable. So many bad Weezer songs, though.
The Where’s My Sex bridge, and the way it transitions back to the chorus, may be my least favourite Weezer moment Smart Girls rules, one of my fave Rivers performances!
Thank God For Girls is genuinely good and I’m mad about the tier of songs it’s getting lumped in with!
I've always loved Back to the Shack. don't really get the dislike for it. Go Away is the miss on that album
TGFG def isn't top tier, but it's good, and Heart Songs above it is a crime lol Anyways in less than a week at least we'll have new Weezer to discuss (and a new song in a day!)
I never got the hate for We Are All on Drugs, it's so catchy Also Can't Stop Partying is worth it for the part where Wayne says "it's Weezer and it's Weezy"
