It’s a good thing I don’t have blocking powers cause a lot of you haters would be shaking in your little boots
I’ve been asking myself that question for 16 years and I still don’t have a good answer also I am an idiot and meant to say banning powers but I am stupid
I agree with the 2nd part but the lyrics and message of Prince is such a big miss. Musically it's probably fine
Had no idea these demos were at thing. "Songs of The Summer", Maladroit demos, "Album 5 Demos" and all of that. Have never been more than a casual fan. Bought Green when it came out. I was always "THIS close" to buying Maladroit back then, but never pulled the plug(Oddly same way as Blue by Third Eye Blind, except I finally bought that one way later). Make Believe was ok at the time. Aside from the main singles from Red, Radical, and Hurley, I haven't listened to anything after that. (Blue is cool I guess and I don't care for Pinkerton) I say all that to say, I'm oddly curious about these demos. Listened to some and they are fun. Going to see if I can download some somewhere. The mystique of demos and songs that never made it onto albums I'm always intrigued by.
I don't know if there is a centralized "complete list" for all those demos, but in my iTunes I have.... SS2K: - Modern Dukes - O Girl - On The Edge - Preacher's Son - Slob (Demo) - Dope Nose (Demo) - Mad Kow - Superstar - The Sister Song - Too Late To Try Make Believe Sessions: - 367 - Acapulco (Alternate Version) - Booby Trap - Fontana - Hey Domingo - Little Songs - Lullaby - Mad Kow (Demo) - Mansion of Cardboard - Misstep - Mo Beats - Modern Dukes (Demo) - Private Message - Prodigy Lover - Reason To Worry - Sacrifice - She Who Is Militant - Superstar (Demo) - The Organ Player - The Story Is Wrong - The Victor - Untenable - Yellow Camaro Maladroit Sessions: - Living Without You - Porcupine - Serendipity - Sandwiches Time - How Long - Zep Jamb - We Go Together - Acapulco - Change The World - Your Room
Great picks. I also have a weird soft spot for their random Better Off Alone cover. And that YouTube channel has a TON of these tracks, too.
I'm Your Daddy was hilarious on Letterman in the Weezer snugglies, outside of that, that song is dead to me lol.
I think Love is the Answer is a beautiful tune, really don’t get the universal hate for that one! My least fave of all their songs is Where’s My Sex. The construction is so clunky, the premise is half-baked, and Rivers affectation on it annoys me :(
