Checked out the presale today and tickets are even more expensive than the 2024 tour was. Luckily, the show near me is near the end of the run so I'll have extra time to decide if I wanna pull the trigger.
Yeah this will likely be a “I’ll decide closer to the date” show for me. The LA show is on a Saturday, so trekking out to the city won’t be super bad. But I’ve also seen Weezer 5 times now, so if I miss this one, it won’t be the end of the world. Although The Shins opening are really upping the ante for me. I’ve only ever seen them once and that was almost a decade ago. I’d like to see them again for sure. Prices and setlist are also an important factor here too…

What tour did they do Sinclair? Somehow don’t remember that at all. I did see them acoustic at BMH though which was cool. Tbh I’m confused about the size of venues for this tour. I know no one hates weezer like weezer fans but I can’t imagine they’re nhl arena big right now when not advertising a blue or Pinkerton tour.
They did a few smaller venue shows for the release of EWBAITE They started the set playing mostly deep cuts acoustic, then played the entire album, and then came out did the encore and played Surf Wax America Daniel Brummell from Ozma also played keys for these shows
I like the sound and river’s performance but yeah it’s missing a hook looking forward to the next single
I feel like Shine Again is so dry and hook-less that it’s going to lead directly into a synth-heavy song about Rivers feeding his dog leftover huevos rancheros from a Santa Monica cantina or something.
I choose to believe the production choices are a direct result of having toured with Dinosaur Jr. This tracks SOUNDS awesome.
On second listen I don’t hate this. It’s kinda more of a nothing than a legit great song but it really does sound awesome. It's above the back to the shack bar as far as first singles go
