Hurley is good. I also just listened to Blue and Pink in full for the first time in what felt like a decade. Made me remember why I love this band.
I’d be OK with a white album style roll out (two singles a half year before the album is actually ready to be announced) if the music is as good.
I cannot imagine riding for a karaoke Weezer album but that's just me. still can't believe they didn't put Rosanna on there
In the end, they call it an album and sell it at an LP price, so I’d classify it as such. And by that metric, it’s incredibly lazy and boring.
I’d have less resentment for that album if they didn’t fill their sets with like 4-5 songs from it for the year or two after.
I’m actually worried because of that lol. His credits on the blue album are good but I hate In The Mall and Automatic
I’m not gonna lie, I read their announcement as the album’s title being “THIS IS NOT A JOKE” I guess the joke is on me.
So silly. Yes, of course it's an album, but the fact that they released it so close to another album shows they at least had the foresight to treat it like a companion piece.
I have a sneaking suspicion their Like a Good Neighbor State Farm jingle cover charts in your Spotify Wrap Up every year.
If this album comes out in the late summer / early fall, I think it’s the longest gap between albums, even slightly besting Pinkerton and Green. Not counting SZNS since they’re EPs
