Beach Boys sounds like what The Madden Brothers were trying to do on Greetings From California (which coincidentally has similar album artwork now that I think about it). This feels like it should be a b-side/bonus track.

I mean Weezer is fucking trash 60-70% of the time so idk if we can judge a guy for liking Sublime

I thought this was fine. Not anywhere near The White Album, but pretty good. I am into the groovy new sound.

It's honestly bullshit that Sublime get so much hate sometimes. They did something that no one before then had EVER done by mixing reggae, hip hop and rock into a sound that actually came out as their own. Countless bands have came after them, they nearly created their own sub-genre.

Besides that, Bradley's voice was amazing, regardless if you like the songs or not

Yeah, they're 0/3 for me. Bummer, loved their last two albums.

Lol I never said this is Rx Bandits/Sublime song.. I said THAT specific line when Rivers did that reggae-vocal-technique and that Sublime-ish synth pre-chorus.. :eh:Sorry for bad Englando mate.. I meant the song has a reggae vibe going on and if you are not familiar or not into that musical genre you won't get/feel this badass bassline hook. I am familiar with the genre and it worked for me..I liked it and I'm happy they keep experimenting with their sound and trying hard to keep things fresh. Hope you got it now with my Tarzan-english :hearno:

p.s I think this is the first Weezer song not based around plain power chords. Can't wait to hear these 3 new songs live in October :peace:

Goddamn seriously this is like the 20th time I've seen you use language as an excuse for why people disagree with you, it's getting old. Your post and point was 100% coherent and specific in English, saying a line was sung like RX Bandits. I own every one of their albums, so I think I'm plenty familiar with everything about their sound. So drop the condescension. It doesn't remind me of them at all.

oh man... I am flattered..I don't even remember who you are but thanks for remembering ME and my "excuses" from some other threads.. really sweet of you

It didn't remind YOU, it reminded ME? You and I are different persons! or you really want me to go deeper on why that line reminded me RX Bandits? Probably the distorted-voice-megaphone effect and maybe that accent-vocal-reggae-play he did on word "siiiiing".. You want me to find ten RX bandits songs now to prove that to you? Maybe mix-merged them in Cubase for you? Nah.. You stuck on this little detail of my post ignoring the main point of my paragraph which was "THAT SEXY GROOVY BASSLINE".

New song is pretty terrible. At least the last two albums (especially the last one) are still pretty enjoyable.

I think it means they're less interesting than other artists right now, so they're stepping up their game by singing about the Beach Boys :P

There is no way this can be worse than some of their albums, so it has that going for it....
