It’s alright. I think AJR is getting a little more hate here than they deserve, but I get it. They write cheesy pop rock songs.
Since someone mentioned Nate Ruess, I do hear it for the first time, but in a "Nate Ruess but waaaaay shittier" kinda way.
The main thing I personally don’t enjoy about AJR’s music is their production style. I actually think more than anything else, this remix just proves to me that All My Favorite Songs is just a really well-written song melodically, since I still like it even with an arrangement that I don’t love.
I turned it off when the 2nd verse came in. Luckily I remember really nothing and my enjoyment of the original can remain pure

The fast-moving nature of the pop charts kind of fools people into thinking that all charts move that fast, but that's not the case. The rock charts, the alternative charts, the country charts, all of them move a lot slower. Songs on those charts tend to have longer journeys to number one, and longer lives at radio period. Counting Crows just hit number one on the Triple A chart and that song has been out for 3-4 months.
