Africa...why? Literally any other song would have been preferable in this setting.

 

Because as much as we hate to see it, it's now one of their most popular songs which led to late career Weezer resurgence.

 

Yes but the casual fans who listen to Africa are not paying $20 for a livestream for an album they probably barely know about, if at all. Go for a deep cut when your audience is primarily your hardcore fan base.

 

Agreed, but alas this is Weezer, they're always going to make questionable decisions haha
