Black - High As a Kite (The Prince Who Wanted Everything)

OK Human - Numbers (Everything Happens For A Reason)

 

Ruling Me is a perfect pop-rock song. Honestly after Make Believe-Red-Raditude I kind of couldn't believe what I was hearing the first time I listened to it. Didn't think Rivers had it in him anymore.

 

Listened to White in full for the first time in like a year and a half.

Whole thing slaps.

 

White is a such a great Weezer album, it just makes it all the more baffling how they got so much wrong for so many years (not counting EWBAITE obviously)

I think EWBAITE sags in the middle. The run of British through Cleopatra is pretty weak. If he didn't try to Kanye too many words together in the chorus for Cleopatra, I'd like it more.

EDIT:
The final 3 also aren't really doing much for me. I'd throw the whole album at like a 6.5-7. Tracks 1-5 are solid, the rest (Foolish Father is cool) I could take or leave.

I just realized I fucked up on Black with Honest, I don't know how I forgot High As A Kite

 

Seeing a lot of people listing Thank God For Girls as the worst track on White and I cannot get on board with that. Lyrics aside, the composition and melodic choices on that track are actually amazing.

 

For me, something has to be the worst on that album and that one just happens to be it haha

 

Yeah I'm not knocking TGFG either

With Weezer there's about an even amount of "well something has to be last I guess" and "you're last cause you couldn't pay me to listen to this ever again" lol
