Settling all of this right now. Maladroit is their 3rd classic album. The White Album is . . . fine. Pacific Daydream is exactly the same album as White.
Y'all White Album truthers remember that it has "Thank God For Girls" on it, right? And that Rivers raps(!?) these words: God took a rib from Adam Ground it up in a centrifuge machine Mixed it with cardamom and cloves Microwaved it on the popcorn setting While Adam was like, "Ooh ooh! That really hurts!” . . .
I'm 100% with you on Maladroit. Not so much your other opinions lol. White is their fourth best album IMO. Pacific Daydream isn't terrible, but it isn't amazing either. It's consistent start to finish, not a single song I'd skip, but also not a single song I'd include on an Essential Weezer playlist.
Hehehehe I hated that so much when I first heard it, but now I just take it in stride and appreciate that a bit of bad Weezer snuck into the album
dreadful chorus aside TGFG is a catchy af song and some of it genuinely, unpretentiously funny. y'all gotta lighten up
It's more than a dreadful chorus. It objectifies women and reduces them to their utility to men and Rivers should be ashamed of it.
maladroit is the third classic album. that was the only truth told. one truth and three lies, a game that will never catch on
Whoa, Jacked Up is one of the best songs on White! TGFG is god awful, worse than most songs on PD. Make Believe has a few songs that would be good if the mix wasn't so soulless, but for the most part both the songs and the production are not so good.
Once John dies you can kinda skip around to the remaining Wings albums, George's Brainwashed and the three latest Paul albums
