Went through the track listing for Death to False Metal the other day and I think it's the worst Weezer album/compilation
At a brief glance, I'm gonna say three-ish good tracks on Death to False Metal and one of them is a cover
Unbreak My Heart cover is great, I enjoy Turn Up the Radio and I Don't Want Your Loving and Trampoline I think
I always liked Autopilot. And the Toni Braxton cover is great. That's all I'd ever return to on DTFM.
all the incredible songs they’ve made and never released and they chose those fucking songs for death to false metal
I wondered sometimes if Rivers was holding them back so they could retire and just keep releasing odds and sods records forever......but then he went and just released everything. still think they could trim all that stuff down for tons of physical and digital releases in the future. Weezer/Rivers has got to have one of the biggest vaults ever.
I think that's what pisses me off so much about it haha. I might be making this up, but I feel like I remember it being released to help them get out of their record contract? Because the next album I believe would be Hurley, which was on Epitaph.
always tend to forget how good "Foolish Father" is till I play it. all misgivings about the final album aside, that song is a classic the "these nucleotides are paired up in a strand/how comical this stuff that makes a man" bridge... fucking unbelievable
USA Today ranked the songs on the new record. “All My Favourite Songs” was 1. edit: I mean it doesn’t mean shit.
