Weezer have announced the Black Album is coming. Today they’ve debuted a video for “Can’t Knock the Hustle” featuring Pete Wentz. They’ve also announced some new tour dates.

Song's solid. Video's frikkin ridiculous

 

I like that they did it, but it's not something I'd listen to again

 

please be a consistent album,

please be a consistent color album,

please don't be the only album color album I despise.

How do you not despise the Red Album at least

 

That's when i finally got into weezer. I was 17 at the time, so like many parts of this forum, certain albums can be good at a time (sentimentality) despite their long-term value, haha.

 

I'm not loving it, but i like this better than "Feels Like Summer" upon 1st listen.

 

Red Album has some way catchy hooks! How can you hate it?

 

There are some good songs but Red is their worst album easily IMO

 

Why did pacific daydream even exist? It seems like the band do it was trash from the get go.

 

As much as I don’t like Red, I can’t even make it through Hurley. Anything after Maladroit is very much hit or miss. Mostly miss.

 

How do people like this but say Beverly Hills or Raditude are trash? That’s baffling lol

 

Yeah. I don’t get it either. Beverly Hills is like 10x better than this shit.

 

Pacific Daydream is awesome. Super solid weird little pop record that I revisit weekly tbh. The album thread here is super positive too

I never listen to Maladroit. That and Red have to be my bottom two. I think there's some great stuff on "Hurley." Nothing ground-breaking so to speak, but some solid jams. First four songs are killer.

 

I was still in high school when Maladroit came out, so I can’t be objective... but yeah Maladroit is awesome.

 

As far as the song goes, I thought it was bad at first, loved the video, and now I've come around on the song lol. I've been skeptical of the past two albums' lead singles at first, and what I've come to realize is that in a world that is emotionally overbearing 100% of the time, I'm just happy to still have this silly band around having fun and being as weird as they want.

Oh, and Maladroit is top three

 

This is just bad. Weezer is Weezer so they can do what they like, but they've done SO much better recently!
