Paper Walls Southern Air Ocean Avenue Lights and Sounds WYTTSY S/T Lift a Sail One for the Kids Really hard to rank the first four or five. Also, this band knows how to end an album.
I love them all so much, but Southern Air is the one I go back to most often. For me.... Southern Air Paper Walls Ocean Ave S/T WYTTSY Lights and Sounds Lift a Sail One for the Kids
Underdog would be right in the middle for me if we were including it. Better than half their full lengths (at least).
This was so tough. I don't think I have a true favorite but went with Southern Air over Ocean Avenue. Honestly I also love Paper Walls and WYTTSY almost as much.
first of all, all of you are on my shit list for not tagging me in here second, I always say PW is my favorite but WYTTSY is such a close second also huge honorable mention to OFTK
WYTTSY was the album that made me a fan. But PW and SA are the ones I go back to most, so I went with Southern Air. and I’ve always hated Ocean Avenue
I had no idea Lift A Sail was apparently so disliked in comparison to the rest of their discography because it's actually my second favorite album by them. EDIT: Since everyone else is doing it: Paper Walls Lift A Sail Southern Air When You're Through Thinking, Say Yes Lights & Sounds Yellowcard One For The Kids Ocean Avenue
I knew Lift a Sail was disliked by a lot of people here, but I'm surprised to see so much hate for the Self-Titled.
I don't hate either Lift a Sail or the Self Titled at all. I just don't connect with them the way that I do with their older records. I don't go back to them much at all. I think they are fine records, and I appreciate the music...but they don't move the needle for me like the others. I feel like the really pulled back the reins and started writing more mid-tempo rock songs in Drop C, and it just doesn't do it for me.
None of you guys listen to one for the kids anymore? I listen to that more than lift a sail and lights and sounds combined.
I listen to it. I just think pretty much everything they did after it is better. Still a good album though
This poll inspired me to listen to L&S for some reason. Not my go to YC album but I have to the desire to listen to it from time to time. How I Go, Holly Wood Died, Waiting Game, are so good.
I'll give my input Southern Air Ocean Avenue WYTTSY Lights and Sounds Lift a Sail Paper Walls Yellowcard One for the Kids
Rough Landing and Hollywood died are the only two I go back to. One of the most disappointing records I can ever remember as it relates to my excitement level when it first came out.
