    Maybe so, maybe not.

Gotta be Is Survived By for me. Seen them a lot live and still haven’t caught a Kerosene.

Dead Horse was more or less the soundtrack of my early twenties and I saw those songs countless times in warehouses and diy spaces. I think ISB is my overall favorite album by them though.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Easily Stage Four. Complete and total sonic improvement over everything they’ve done. They’ve gotten better every album IMO

All very close and could easily swap around but this would be how I would have them sitting. Stage four for sure would always be no.1 though. Incredible front to back!

I’ve always wanted to see to write content live but still no luck. Haha.

  8. Is Survived By contains most of my favorite songs but Stage Four takes the quality of those and extends that to a full album. They keep getting better.

Stage Four is easily the best and my favorite. I’d put Parting The Sea slightly over Survived By but it’s close

I think all of their albums are special to me in a way, but they do get better and better with every release, so Stage Four!

  15. One of those rare bands I only like one record by. Stage Four is incredible

Stage Four and Is Survived By are the only two I go back to. I really liked Parting the Sea but after Is Survived By was released I never got the urge to listen to it. I still want them to explore the more post-rock direction they went on Non Fiction.

Stage Four is easily my favorite because of how good every aspect of it is. It’s so deeply personal, yet easily relatable. Musically it’s tight, with great layers, and tries new things for the band that really work.

The rest of the albums are all super close. I would probably put dead horse second or third if we’re talking Dead Horse X. But I don’t think it makes sense to rate to re-recorded version against the original of others.

Man I really need to spend more time with DHX.

I keep forgetting they did that. So cool. Wish a lot of my favorite bands would re record or update a classic album the way they did with that one.
