Fake Empire was the first song I ever heard by them and I think will always be my favorite

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I picked High Violet, but Boxer and SWB are 1b and 1c honestly

That song is so haunting. I'm a little lukewarm on that album in general--just a little too long and a little too consistently mid-tempo to hold my interest--but it's got some big highlights.

Nah man, "Fake Empire" is one of the greatest openers of all time. And "I Should Live In Salt"! "Nobody Else Will Be There" is probably fourth for me.

It was really fun to go back to that album and revisit it. I come at it from a completely different place now than I did when it came out.

Yeah, spring/summer 2010 was a pretty special run of records. I look back fondly on that time.

My favorite album from this band has changed so much, and I usually say TWFM, but for this poll I'll go back to where it all started for me... High Violet.

It's High Violet for me, the three song run of Bloodbuzz, Lemonworld and Runaway is just perfection. The whole thing really moved me when it was released.

I do love them all dearly though.

Yeah also HV for me, I think it’s the first album of theirs that completely clicked with me and I’ve loved it the most ever since. I now also love TWFM after listening to it a few more times though it’s still got a couple of tracks I’m not the biggest fan of.

I was gonna comment about a three track run but mine was Afraid Of Everyone, Bloodbuzz and Lemonworld haha

Actually the run of Conversation 16, England, Vanderlyle might beat it now I think about it more. What an album.

    I'm kinda unsurprised.

I used to be lower on that album than everyone else but that's because I was approaching it the same way as Boxer and Alligator. It's not really the same kind of record at all. I've come to appreciate its strong production and mood-setting.

Take out Anyone's Ghost and Runaway and throw in Wake Up Your Saints and Exile Vilify and High Violet is the best.

Take out Runaway? The mind reels.
