I have a lot of feelings. Its probably Heart, but the run from Heart to The Five Ghosts is pretty perfect to me.

  3. I have way too much nostalgic attachment to Heart to not pick it as my favorite.

For me that's The North. It has a special place in my heart as I listened to it a lot in my last year of college and the first year that I spent out west in the Rockies immediately after.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

It's gotta be Heart for me. They didn't waste a single note on the entire thing.

I'd say the top 3, no order would be: Heart, Nightsongs and Set Yourself on Fire. Honorable fourth place mention to In Our Bedroom After The War.

I actually really love their last one. That's probably my favorite.

I adore this band. Really hard to pick a favorite but I chose The North due to the amount of change in my life that it accompanied.

I don't think I've listened to their last two albums more than once and I feel bad about it.

You and me both Craig - I love all of their albums but find most of them a little patchy - Fluorescent Light is probably the strongest overall

I used to default say 'Set Yourself on Fire' but listened to it again recently and there's a couple of songs I don't really like on it

I think my favorite song is A Thread Cut with a Carving Knife. I wish they had gone further with that sound. Sonically, it's perfect.

All of their albums are a tad hit or miss for me. They always have a few songs I really love, a few outright misses, and some in between. But that one is the most consistently great, for me.

My wife I bonded a lot over The North...butttt I cant deny that fire is the peak and absolute indie classic. They’re all great.

  14. Went with Fire due to personal attachment, but Heart may as well be a tie

Heart is my pick. "Elevator Love Letter" was the first song I heard by Stars and its still close to perfect

I love several tracks off every album by Stars, except for No One Is Lost - I could completely do without that album

This list should probably include the Sad Robots EP, because it is fantastic

This is cool and all but what is Bedroom doing so low?

I've never really clicked with that one. It just feels like they coasted a bit between really good records.

such a weird take to me, but you do you!

  22. Drewski

The crescendo of Bedroom's title track might be the best moment in their discography. Lots of other underrated tracks too, namely: Bitches in Tokyo, Window Bird, Life 2.

Personal is a top 5 Stars song for me - They seem to have disowned it though - Seen them live many times and they've never played it
