Gun to my head, Kid A. But that, OK Computer, In Rainbows and A Moon Shaped Pool could take the first spot depending on my mood. And all the non-Pablo Honey albums would be my favorite album from most bands haha.

Went with Hail to the Thief but really could have gone with OKC, KidA, Amnesiac, HTTF or In Rainbows

For Amnesiac - I have to say that the live version of those tracks really brought them to life for me. Knives Out, Dollars and Cents, Spinning Plates and Morning Bell were tracks the just floored me when hearing the live versions

    I love Radiohead

My number one is always the same. The next four albums rotate constantly. I like TKOL and Amnesiac, but they never clicked as much as the ones above them. The Bends and Pablo Honey have some good songs, but they're overall just not that great. When I listen to their albums chronologically, everything always changes when Street Spirit starts. That song is the start of the Radiohead I love the most.

I don't really care much about anything to do with Radiohead but if Pablo is anything but last on your list you should be banned.

Hail to the Thief and OK Computer change depending on the day but I’m feeling HTTF a bit more today.

Is it just me or has In Rainbows just recently overtaken OK Computer and Kid A as the most beloved Radiohead album? I feel like I always heard those two were their masterpieces, but as of late I hear more people talking about In Rainbows as their best. Not just on this site.

Kid A, but could be In Rainbows or Moon Shaped Pool depending on the day.

My hottest take is that I don’t like OK Computer that much

    A Moon Shaped Pool

    In Rainbows

Don’t include the first two because they rarely feel like Radiohead outside a few songs.

I still feel like a good chunk of AMSP feels pandering and that feels weird coming from this band

    What tracks specifically?

AMSP is in my top 4, so I obv disagree, but what's interesting is I'd make the same accusation of TKOL.

the album is 20-30% old material they’d long never recorded - seems like nostalgia was deliberately a factor. TLW most obviously embodies that idea I think.

I don’t see it with TKOL. most of their fanbase derides it and it’s less conventional. I’d say it’s more indulgent for them - which is the opposite of pandering.

have the tracks ever been as old as TLW before they were committed to album?

idk some of the more conventional and reserved instrumental stylings of AMSP consciously remind me of some older RH. Like those newly recorded bonus tracks on the OK Computer anniversary just as well sound like they could’ve been on AMSP.

not as old but off the top of my head

    TKOL- morning mr magpie
    In Rainbows- nude, last flowers
Kid A- national anthem, motion picture soundtrack

Yeah, In Rainbows had several that went way way back IIRC, even if some were completely reworked.

As for AMSP, I got the vibe of stuff like Decks Dark, Desert Island, or Present Tense being potentially Thom solo material that was repurposed. I do think there's a simplicity that makes it hard to compare with the sheer ambition of the OKC/Kid A era, but I still love it.

That said, the AMSP version of TLW is still kinda blasphemy to me and I almost could've done with it being left off :/
