This could be all over the place.

Was going to put EP's but hit the max.

Black Sails is perfect to me. Sing the Sorrow is probably second. Haven't liked anything beyond that.

Sing the Sorrow is not only my favorite AFI album, but one of my absolute favorite albums ever. I also really love Black Sails, Art of Drowning, and Decemberunderground. The latter took years to click for me, though, probably due in part to how much I love STS. AFI happens to be my favorite band, so I'm a little biased.

A few of those could get moved around, particularly Burials/Decemberunderground/Crash Love but that's about right.

It's so odd that I spent so much time as a kid listening to their older material and I remember nothing about Shut Your Mouth at all.

It's Open Your Eyes instead of ears. That album was going to be my answer at first.

I'll say Art Of Drowning. This is never an easy question.

  16. Burials is so underrated.

It really is. Apparently The Sinking Night was originally a full song before they cut it down to serve as the intro. I really wish they'd release it someday.

Wow I thought Decemberunderground was not a universally liked album. I love it but have had to defend it IRL.

I don't like anything before Black Sails. Sing the Sorrow, Burials, and Decemberunderground is the order of my top three. The Blood album grew on me a lot last year after initially hating the direction they went with it.

i can't speak much for anything pre-StS but i think DU is one of this scene's all-time greats. the vision, execution, and elegance are astonishing to me.

This is tough but I feel confident putting Sing the Sorrow at the top. I've spent significant time with each of this band's albums - even the oldest ones which I feel like soaked in when I was younger but probably couldn't get into anymore. The only one I don't really know is Shut Your Mouth and Open Your Eyes.

When I first got into them, I loved their aggressive albums (Black Sails, Art of Drowning) but in the long run I appreciate their more experimental stuff like Sing the Sorrow, Decemberunderground, and Burials the most. Crash Love and The Blood Album fall just below those, but I like everything this band does, really.

Still blows my mind Sing the Sorrow isn’t on UK Apple Music. Is there some label issue?
