That loneliness is not a function of solitude.

Space Jame soundtrack will always have a special place in my heart as the first cd I ever owned lol.

Friday Night Lights is great because the best way I can describe it is somehow just "nostalgia" even when it was the first time I'd ever listened to it.

Oh yeah I forgot Inside Llewyn Davis. The Coens are great at sound tracking their films

    Big hat enthusiast Prestigious

Videogames: Final Fantasy anything, I guess IX if I have to choose.

Movies: I used to drive around listening to Hans Zimmer's scores to Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3, both of which are fantastic. He also scored The Simpsons Movie, which was fun. It Follows score is amazing. And Carpenter's Halloween score of course is a great one. Recently, BvS has a great score (again by Zimmer, with Junkie XL).

Musicals: Beauty And The Beast, Dr. Horrible's Sing along Blog

    TV soundtracks: Scrubs.

GTA V and Jackie Brown are probably my two favorite licensed soundtracks.

Thief, It Follows, 1O Cloverfield, and The Master are my most recently watched movies who's scores resonated with me.

For video games Child of Light, and Transistor have stellar scores.

The film isn't all that good but the score (especially the part in the video) is fantastic.

Yuki Kajiura - .hack//SIGN and Madoka
    Toshio Masuda - Mushishi
and I'm just learning of this now, but Susumu Hirasawa has worked with Satoshi Kon a few times (Paprika, Paranoia Agent, Millennium Actress), and his stuff is wild. He's supposedly going to score Dream Machine if that ever gets made.

Love the soundtrack in that movie. The main theme is like the perfect bait and switch, it lures you with beautiful footage of the Amazon with it playing, with you not expecting what's coming next.

    I used to be cool...

Exactly! I love it. My fiance however has straight up refused to let me use the main theme for her walk down the aisle at our wedding.

I always liked music from 28 Days Later, 500 Days of Summer, and Stand Bye Me

  21. Me & My Arrow

    John | Align in Time

In film, Hook is my favorite:

In video games, I think it's tough to argue that there's a better constructed score than Remember Me. It's got all the themes, development, and scene-setting capability of a great film score, combined with a level of gameplay interactivity that few games even aspire to reach.

Favourite score is hands-down Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' The Social Network. I still listen to that all the time, especially when I need to focus on working. I haven't listened to anything else Trent Reznor has ever done.

Favourite soundtrack that is a lot of, if not mostly, original recordings done specifically for the movie is O Brother, Where Art Thou?, followed closely by Inside Llewyn Davis.

Favourite compilation soundtrack is actually probably still Garden State. It's like a perfect mix cd.

Pretty standard answers, but there you go.

Be kind; everyone is on their own journey.

Sons of Anarchy has some great spins on old classics...the Forest Rangers mixed with different guest singers on just about every track really works well for the mood of the show. White Buffalo's take on "House of the Rising Sun" is fantastic.

I love writing to scores, especially '80s-style synth. Some of my favorites are Halloween (or any John Carpenter), Suspiria (or any Goblin/Claudio Simonetti), Tron Legacy, Maniac, Ex Machina, Earth to Echo, Her, Drive, The Guest, and most recently Turbo Kid.
