Okay y'all help me out. The greatest SNL skit I've ever seen was inexplicably removed from the internet. I haven't been able to find it anywhere. It was a few months ago, the beginning of July, the Weekend Update where Zoolander made an appearance. During the update, Jon Rudnitsky did a Dirty Dancing parody, a silent monologue, seriously one of the funniest and most impressive one-take performances I've seen in my life. WHERE DID IT GO?!?
Can't top More Cowbell and Celebrity Jeopardy as far as the classics. As far as more recently, Celebrity Feud with Steve Harvey, The Californians, the Weekend Update (anytime there's guests, or Kenan does Whoopi.)
In no order: Jimmy Tango's Fat Busters Chippendales Steve Martin's song-and-dance opener Will Ferrell's post-9/11 show of patriotism Sportcenter with Ray Romano Mr. Belvedere Fan Club Eddie Murphy's White Like Me Wayne's World with Madonna Matt Foley Gap Girls Bill Brasky Word Association with Richard Pryor More Cowbell Debbie Downer with Lindsay Lohan Bill Clinton at McDonald's The Delicious Dish with Pete Schweddy Old Prospector Gus Chiggins (Unaired but was on the Best of Will Ferrell DVD) Commercials: Oops I crapped my pants Dissing Your Dog Mom Jeans Old Glory Insurance Cluckin Chicken Happy Fun Ball Schmitt's Gay Beer Taco Town Colon Blow Shirt in a Can I'm sure I'm missing a dozen or so more. I excluded Digital shorts which I may do a separate list.
Anything Lonely Island Laser Cats 4ever with Steve Martian The Black Eyed Peas skit with Miley Cyrus playing Fergie.
Watch Bedelia: The Sleepover from Saturday Night Live on NBC.com This is a skit I like but the audience just doesn't connect with it. Classic writers sketch.
Will do bigger list tomorrow, but how bout Action 9 News from tonight's premiere as a recent favorite and then Molly Shannon's oblivious, suburban stand-up as a more 'classic' favorite.
Re-watching this now... Nasim is a cast member I certainly took for granted during her tenure and wished I appreciated her more as a sketch performer.
