MJ is awesome and it’s not a competition but I do like Weds better/find them more interesting overall. The MJ ascension to most important thing in indie rock bummed me out slightly in that I feel like a good amount of people jumping on board with Manning Fireworks will never hear a Wednesday record but w/e. Certainly not gonna complain about more good music

 

I feel like a lot of MJ fans were already Wednesday fans. Everyone I know listens to both of them.

 

mj is very good but has yet to reach the heights of the best wednesday for me. though he comes close on boat songs. i also think the best mj record is the live album.

 

i like wednesday’s albums more, i like mj live more

 

Manning Fireworks is the best album between the 2 artists

 

Boat Songs and Rat Saw God are my respective favs. (Bleeds more likely to pass RSG. MF not passing Boat Songs).
