is anyone saying that? If that was in reference to saying there’s not the same level of anthemic swings I just mean I don’t think there’s a chosen to deserve or quarry pop gem on here, nor a purely epic bull believer or turkey vultures type track. There were 4 or 5 songs on rsg that sounded like they were really going for it in a way nothing on twin plagues or this really has. Not a value statement, I already am feeling this one as much, just a vibe thing.

I will echo the sentiment in here and also say that “Turkey Vultures” is the best thing they’ve ever committed to tape. An unreal rock song.

    “Elderberry Wine” a close second

I think chosen to deserve is easily the stand out on rat saw god. I’m gonna give that album another spin though since I’m digging this one a lot.

Carolina Murder Suicide isn’t doing much for me yet but there’s no song on here I truly dislike

Very early impression is that this isn’t quite as good as Rat Saw God but is still so good that it probably cements them as my favorite band right now, just by recent output or whatever. The fact that they’ve supposedly had the next album recorded since earlier this year is very intriguing too

A little over halfway through this and loving it.

On the conversation about Rat Saw God tracks, my favorites on that thing are “Turkey Vultures” and “Chosen to Deserve.” Though, “Bull Believer” is also real good.

Think my favorites on first full listen here are “Reality TV Argument Bleeds,” “Elderberry Wine,” and “Pick Up That Knife” into “Wasp” (which is so gnarly). But, most of this is really fucking rad. Will be fun to listen more throughout the fall.

I remember on the Rat Saw God tour “Turkey Vultures” was kind of a once every two or three shows kind of song. Was worried I wasn’t going to get it in Chicago but we did. The drums are sooooo good.
