Just got to Phish Pepsi, lol. This album is great so far.

Edit: Pick Up That Knife - Wasp (!) - Bitter Everyday was such an awesome run.

“Townies” is so good. Just me or am I hearing way more Pavement and Malkmus this time around?

I was loving the last minute or so of Pick Up That Knife but Wasp is the song that got me to sit up in bed. Laughed out loud and checked to see what track it was. So awesome.

  9. THAT line in "Phish Pepsi" made me laugh out loud in my office, lol. Very good stuff, as expected

  10. Phish Pepsi might’ve been my fav on first listen but just to avoid being annoying i will be choosing a different favorite soon

If I was sort of lukewarm on Rat Saw God is it worth giving this a shot?

  13. I would say so - it is not stylistically very different (a little less heavy I would say), but it is less dense. Probably depends on what you liked/didn't like about RSG.

Love one song on rat saw god and thought the rest was fine. I’ll give this a spin.

I absolutely think anyone should give this a shot after Rat Saw God. I love that record but this feels slightly different to my ears, maybe a little easier in the ears.

expected but man this rules! psyched vinyl should come in today too.

love how loose and comfortable the instrumentals feel, they're in the zone on each track.

Sped up "Phish Pepsi" is so cool and when "Gary's II" picked up I grinned very hard.

my brain couldn't pick up this influence even though I've listened to 3 Pavement albums this week lol

can feel a lot of Dead vibes really leaning in too!

  20. I really thought that last line on Gary's II was gonna go "I always did wonder how your teeth stayed so nice / when the only think you drink is Pepsi Ice"

Looking forward to my first listen with some Sierra Nevada Oktoberfests this evening. I was late to this band but they’ve really clicked in the last month or so.
